ACCOUNT MANAGER (FINANCIAL SERVICES) - DIGITAL AGENCY

Opportunity Overview:

Our client is looking for an Account Manager with strong and proven client- and project management experience, for their Toronto office. Ideally, applicants will have experience in managing digital projects for large Financial Services clients.

Since opening their Toronto office a year ago, our client has been experiencing exceptional growth and that is the reason for this hire. This role offers daily client interaction, and the chance to own management of the all-important details that this involves.

Requirements of Role:

  • Your first responsibility as Account Manager will be to establish effective working processes and to develop strong trust based relationships with both the client and agency team members.
  • The primary focus of this role will be on digital projects for a large Canadian Financial Services client.
  • This role requires exceptional client relationship management skills and a true obsession with the details; you must love to “get it in writing” and then execute on what is required, managing internal and external stakeholders to get the job done.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Account Manager serves as the primary point of client contact and is responsible for assuring that new client initiatives, are defined, documented, implemented and reported on for the client.
  • The Account Manager will maintain focus on project timelines, resources, risks, issues and activities to ensure that quality deliverables are created and completed on schedule as defined by Statements of Work.
  • Plan and manage solution delivery schedule, communications, solution resource needs, and determine resource assignments
  • Manage the customer relationship
  • Collaborate with internal teams
  • Schedule and lead project kick-off, status meetings, quality reviews and closeout
  • Report solution status and communicate with customer contact(s) on a regular basis
  • Provide solution scope management and process solution/scope change requests
  • Manage and monitor solution risk/issues/escalations
  • Track and report progress against milestones
  • Review/approve deliverables (in writing)
  • Obtain customer sign-off on projects at completion of deployment and during scope changes
  • Develop and deliver reports on all critical support incidents
  • Conduct regular business reviews of support metrics and quality of work

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth account- and project management skills, with experience driving projects to completion to meet or exceed goals
  • Project Management qualifications including demonstrated experience with formal project management tools
  • Ability to drive cross-functional resources to design and deliver solutions to the client
  • Exceptional organization and computer skills – advanced knowledge in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word and Visio
  • Strong planning, monitoring and scheduling skills
  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment  and to adapt to changing priorities
  • 3-4 years experience in a client-facing role
  • 1-2 years experience in a project management role
  • Knowledge of email deployment is desirable
  • University degree, preferably in Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Digital Marketing and Communications, web production techniques and costs
  • Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure, and have strong communication skills
