Job Description:
Our client is a large Canadian Financial Services institution. The Business Consultant plays a key strategic role in the advancement of our client’s online offerings. The Business Consultant is responsible for the creation of online business strategy, business requirements, research, analysis, coordination/development of communication and training plans, and implementation of the initiatives created. Key Accountabilities/ Activities: 1) Provide strategy and business analysis in projects and new initiatives - Create a strategy around new online business initiatives
- Identify and document business requirements, functional and non-functional specifications and use cases
- Review User Experience, Content, Marketing, Operations, Testing and other project deliverables to ensure they support the business requirements
2) Monitor, research and document competitive intelligence - Understand customer needs, trends, market conditions, and overall business environment of brokerage and banking industries
- Maintains the intellectual property of our client through thorough documentation
3) Provide Subject Matter Expertise in: - Banking, brokerage, business systems, processes, organizational structures
- Specific functional areas of Online Trading, Registration, Authentication & Security, Consolidated View, Account Holdings, Transaction History, Customer Satisfaction, and Marketing, Tools and Advertising.
4) Develop and maintain productive relationships with segment partners, lines of business, technology groups, peers and others: - Work with segments, lines of business and technology to ensure business needs are met
- Investigate, analyze and document recommendations on issues such as change requests, compliance, project issues, etc.
- Coordinate the preparation, production and distribution of reports, minutes or other duties as required
Requirements: - Strategic thinker
- Strong planning and implementation skills
- Knowledge of Internet, banking industry, brokerage industry, stock markets, e-commerce and/or financial services industry
- Sound understanding of call centre functions which support Internet customers and products
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and other CSI courses is an asset
- MBA preferred - nice to have, not a must-have
