Job Description:
Our client is a major consulting organization based in the Toronto area who perform large scale implementation and integration projects in the technology and Web arena. Due to their growth they now have the opportunity to hire some of the best professionals in the web/interactive space.
One of those new opportunities is in the area of Project Management for web-related projects/initatives.
The requirements of this role are the following:
* Proven leadership ability
* Project management skills
* Team facilitation
* Technical writing proficiency
* Online workflow modeling skills
* Ability to communicate fluently in both conceptual and technical realms
* Creativity in the development and selection of functional alternatives in the implementation of online projects
Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will understand the dynamics and management of a large e-commerce site and will be charged with the following responsibilities:
* Creating strategic technology solutions based on business goals
* Crafting detailed business/technical specifications for product line enhancements, new products or specific marketing programs
* Overseeing the implementation and ongoing maintenance associated with all content releases
* Working with Business, delivery and other IT resources to create new versions and designs of products
* Providing ongoing user experience and conversion-enhancement consulting for all client projects and sites
Qualifications and Experience
The Interactive Project Manager will be a truly creative thinker who thrives in a fast paced environment and has the following qualifications/skills:
* Ability to translate business and technical concepts into function specification documents
* Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, VISIO and MS OFFICE
* Highly motivated, organized, able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
* At least 4 years experience managing production of web content
* Experience with a large scale design or redesign of a variety of websites
* Experience in cross-platform design, information architecture, site mapping and change control
* Familiarity with information architecture/design and user experience best practices
* B.S. degree or equivalent experience
* Experience with search engine optimization
