Due to corporate growth and the creation of a new interactive department within the GTA, our client now has the opportunity to hire some of the best professionals in the digital space. This is your opportunity to lead & build a new department for this hugely successful IT Integration firm. You are an experienced Digital Creative Director with an affinity for IA (working with, not creating) and looking for an opportunity to build some really, really big projects.

 

Creative Director for high volume, transactional web and desktop applications.

 

The expected responsibilities of the Creative Director are as follows:

 

  • Fulfils the primary role of digital expert in client presentations and new business pitches
  • Provides brand expertise and leadership in guiding creative team and agency partners
  • Works on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Helps identify appropriate creative solutions from every discipline
  • Works with the client interactive team as well as delivery and sales teams to allocate resources to jobs based on skill set, timelines, budget and workload
  • Reviews incoming job starts, creative briefs and other forms of project initiation to ensure team has essential information and sufficient time
  • Reviews and approves work generated by the creative teams and provides clear, timely and constructive feedback
  • Successfully evaluates art and copy - equally
  • Stays abreast of current digital technologies and how they can be applied toward achieving our clients objectives and communicates this knowledge with the greater team
  • Understands the necessary tools and resources needed for the completion of digital projects and can utilize them accordingly
  • Stays abreast of current digital technology and how this technology applies to our clients business
  • Works and brainstorm with other creative directors in agency on select projects Trains and mentors creative in digital techniques and best practices
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with senior account service management and clients

Experience

  • Proven leadership in a web-related agency business setting
  • Strong design background – fresh, surprising solutions with high/positive impact
  • Current and up to date in the interactive technology and how this technology applies to our clients business
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and electronically
  • Great understanding of interactive media terminology and concepts
  • Ability to work with multiple teams agency-wide on multiple projects

Computer Software & Additional Skills

  • Flash - must have a strong understanding of this application
  • Understands HTML/CSS/Java coding
  • Knows how to speak to developers about Databases, .NET and other languages.
  • Experience implementing web analytics
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture
  • Implementing document management solutions
  • Strong exposure to portal development
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with senior account service management and clients
  • Motion application like AfterEffects: a bonus, but not a requirement
  • Has put several Web sites together from concept to execution for clients and/or employers
  • Has guided a team through the completion of several web sites from concept through completion
