Our client has an exciting opportunity in their Sales group for a Category Advisor in support of their Walmart Account.
Primary focus - Support Walmart Account on Category Management efforts for a specific Category
- Provide insights and recommendations on Category to Walmart buying team
Specific Accountability
- Provide Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly sales update to the buyer
- Responsible to build and update planograms for the account using POS sales, forecast provided by vendors
- Prepare and present Category Management Reviews using the Category Management 8 steps process approved by Walmart
- Determine promotional effectiveness and present recommendations to buying team
- Regular maintenance of Category items in Retail Link
Skills
- Retail Link 1-2 years - must have
- Prospace - must have
- Nielsen Makettrack- must have
- Nielsen Homescan - must have
- Nielsen Spectra - nice to have
- Nielsen Spaceman - nice to have
- Access - nice to have
- Microsoft Excel & Word - intermediate to expert level
Experience and Requirements
- 3-5 years in CPG or similar field
- Experience working with Walmart
- Category Management experience is a must
- Sales or Consumer / Trade Marketing background - nice to have
- University degree
