Requirements of Role:

The first requirement of the Account Director will be to initiate and build relationships with an assigned group of clients; winning their trust with your deep knowledge of the digital space and your strategic thinking.

You will have a deep understanding of process and project management disciplines; you will have exceptional client and team relationship skills; and you will have proven ability to manage the P&L for your group of clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Counsel / Client Management:
  • Lead successful implementation of a variety of digital marketing projects
  • Lead project management staff and processes
  • Finances, digital thinking, great client service, great team leader
  • Development of measurable strategies for website development, online advertising, mobile, email and search
  • Effectively present, sell and defend agency work/proposals to clients
  • Assist clients with planning and budgeting of interactive spending
  • Keep apprised of clients’ brands, products/services and marketing activities, as well as competitor activities
  • Build a strong, lasting relationship with clients based on progress in achieving the client’s business objectives
  • Oversee quality control for client jobs; reviews all material prior to presentation to client.
  • Manage project costs and ensures agency activity is executed with efficiency that results in profit for the organization
  • Mentor and develop account services team members and set annual performance objectives and development plans for direct reports
  • Actively identify, research, and present additional business opportunities to executive-level contacts

Desired Qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Marketing and Communications and demonstrated success in development of digital strategies and tactical implementation of measurable projects and programs.
  • 7+ years of solid experience in an agency (integrated advertising or interactive marketing) environment with direct experience in client management, project management and new business development.
  • Knowledge of web production techniques and costs.
  • Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure, and have strong communication skills - both written & oral
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; Microsoft Project a plus.
