About the position
Our client is looking for an extremely capable, hands-on Senior Project Manager to take charge of all aspects of implementing a brand strategy project, which may involve multiple market research methodologies.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to institute efficient work flows, be proactive in communications with Strategists and clients and have superior attention to detail.  It is critical that the right candidate have a good business sense in terms of being able to prioritize requirements.  The right candidate will be confident, motivated, willing to roll up their sleeves, extremely organized and able to juggle many details at once.  This is a great opportunity to become a valued contributor to a fast growing company.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all field logistics of qualitative research studies (excluding travel and creative services), with a focus on more complex studies
  • Assumes a coaching role to Project Managers and contributes to problem solving with other team members by sharing knowledge
  • Developing and maintaining strong preferred supplier relationships; works to elevate suppliers’ provision of services and works collaboratively to solve problems and present solutions
  • Proactively considers strategic questions regarding recruiting, implementation of field, scheduling and planning of logistical details
  • Provides input into critical path scheduling
  • Communicates clearly, effectively, efficiently and accurately with Strategists and clients regarding field issues and progress
  • Proposal costing and recommendations on budget for non-standard recruiting issues
  • Bring to the role a depth of understanding (insights) of recruiting methodologies, markets and therapeutic areas
  • Involved in company wide initiatives and with experience, may lead EMT initiatives (improving process, training, process..etc) 

Education, Experience and Attributes

  • 5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years in market research required
  • University degree in a related field; PMP designation (or current enrollment) a definite asset
  • Outsourcing or supplier management experience
  • Must be motivated by owning executional side of project management
  • Highly attuned attention to detail
  • Strong problem solver with sound troubleshooting skills
  • Highly proactive and effective communicator
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment and can comfortably work with finite deadlines and multiple demands
  • Exceptional computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team player with a "Can do" attitude that does not put boundaries on responsibility but rather an attitude of collaboration to get the job done.
  • Must have Market Research experience in Consumer Goods, OTC or Pharmaceutical industry
