Financial Systems Analyst

Salary: 75-80,000

Role:
Reporting to the Director, the Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for providing software specifications and to assist in implementing their platform.
Write software specifications for their financial solution for clients in the securities and investment industry. Research to determine business requirements for new versions of the core products.
Apply usability principles and best practices design to specify user interfaces that enhance the end user experience.
Use your business and technical expertise to design algorithms that will assure the accuracy of financial calculations and offer scalable design solutions.
Have excellent analytical and design skills using a structured approach such as use-case analysis.
Write SQL queries for analysis and debugging software solutions to ensure all calculation methods are accurate. Prepare test cases and interface with QA analysts to assure correct results.
Investigate problems independently and through collaboration with development teams, implementation consultants, project managers.
Liaise with development teams and QA to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirments:
Experience in writing software specifications for financial software
University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Economics
MBA (Finance) and/or CFA designations are definitive assets
Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills
Relevant business experience in securities and portfolio management: transactions, cost and gain loss calculations, rates of return, asset valuations, accruals, multi currency systems
SQL, Data Modeling and Data Analysis skills
Programming experience or web user interface design are assets
Some travelling maybe required
