Our Dallas Oil and Gas Client is looking for a Senior Landman to join their growing team.
This position will initiate business development opportunities and will work closely with the Geosciences, Engineering and Operations teams in our East Texas/North Louisiana division.
This position requires an individual who is experienced in the exploration and production business and well versed in all types of transactions, including farm-ins and farm-outs, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, swaps, etc.
This individual will be a key resource for the business development team by leveraging business relationships and a well established network of contacts to identify business opportunities for the organization.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7-15 years industry experience with exposure to all land functions, including areas such as land negotiations and systems, with specific experience in East Texas and Louisiana
Actively involved in the oil and gas industry as a well respected member of the land community
Broad practical experience in all areas of land including surface, minerals, contracts and negotiations
Possesses a strong ethical, business and commercial sense and capable of reviewing opportunities from a basic technical, as well as business, perspective
Must have a broad working knowledge of contracts
Must have significant negotiating experience, a solid background in writing and interpreting agreements
Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and a Land database
Excellent project management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land Management or related field required.
CPL certification required.
