Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Help Desk professional to deliver technical and application support to company end users on issues related to hardware and software performance, maintenance and the use of desktop applications and reports. The ideal candidate will be great with client interaction, be able to gather information from the user community, provide status updates and bring resolutions. Ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a great attitude, and be flexible. Ideal candidate must have great experience with MS Office support, printer support, and blackberry support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
First point of contact for technical issues within the company
Respond to help desk calls and emails
User creation and user maintenance
Minimize downtime by rapidly diagnosing and resolving problems
Provide phone and face-to-face support at corporate office and other US branch offices
Administer the helpdesk tracking software
Classify and prioritize incoming requests
Escalate calls as required, providing necessary information to recipient
Provide status updates to requestors
Produce reports used to monitor the helpdesk process
Provide solutions regarding passwords, software, hardware, printer maintenance, email, and application support
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills
Basic network troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to be a team player
Strong sense of urgency regarding solving end-user issues
Must be able to communicate effectively with various types of personalities to identify and resolve network, software application and PC repair issues
Ability to learn and maintain a high level of knowledge of the clients computing environment
Must be able to prepare, write, read, and demonstrate effective communications language skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows environment
Working knowledge of AS400, Active Directory, Citrix, TCP/IP, iPass/Cisco VPN, Wireless Networks, Active Sync and Exchange is a plus
Self-starter that requires minimal supervision and can contribute to completion of assigned projects
Experience and understanding with issues on systems, laptops, desktops and printers
Mac OS support experience a plus
