Job Description:
 Our Austin, TX client is seeking two programmers for a 3-6 month project.  There will be some travel involved.

 

This employee will be responsible for:

  • Developing queries in a variety of database formats to extract a comma separated value file with predefined fields
  • Using an access database to validate fields
  • Making minor changes to coding
  • May do some ColdFusion programming

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with customer service in an IT environment, such as working in a call center or providing assistance to users of databases and other software.
  • Have experiencing importing text files and validating data
  • Have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access database including programming in visual basic (VBA),
  • Experience creating queries and moving the results between various files and tables.
  • Experience importing and exporting CSV files between spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of a variety of databases such as
    • Access
    • SQL (MySQL, MSSQL etc..)
    • Oracle
    • FoxPro
  • Experience with tomcat servers
