Embedded Software (CIFS) Design Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer with remote file system expertise to augment our Application Acceleration team. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, developing, and documenting application acceleration-related features. Other responsibilities include assisting sales engineers and technical support personnel with field deployment of security features, and participating in design/code reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of C/C++ development experience designing and developing mission critical, high-availability systems in Linux/Unix environment
• In-depth knowledge of CIFS/SMB remote file system protocol is required
• Knowledge of Linux Samba and VFS implementation is desirable; NFS experience is also a big plus
• Ability to design and specify new software features from the ground up; experience in a complete development cycle and a release of at least one commercial product
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills; creative problem-solving and independent technical decision making capabilities
• MS in CS, EE, Mathematics or other related areas required
