Job Description:
Primary Objective: We are seeking a strong individual contributor with solid Windows internals knowledge and strong C++ coding experience.
Accountability and Scope: This individual reports to the VP of Engineering and will work with the team lead and group to design and implement the Windows version of the product.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Work with the technical lead and the engineering group to identify the requirements for the Windows version of our product.
- Work with the technical lead and the engineering group to design and implement the Windows version of the product.
- Must be a hands-on person with solid Windows internals knowledge and strong C++ coding experience.
- Must be willing and capable of performing many different software engineering tasks as part of a small group of highly motivated, highly skilled engineers.
You will need experience in SEVERAL of the following: - Developing system software or middleware products
- RIS, SMB, AD, MSI, IIS, Apache, SIDs, IFS, DLLs, PE/COEF, WinPE and CLR
- Windows internals including registry modification, NOT just device drivers
- Using/developing with relational databases (SQL) — DB2 preferred
- Developing multi-tier network applications (database/application logic/presentation)
- Developing SOAP server and clients (ideally using gSOAP)
- Using VMware to develop and test products
- Windows system administration
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix development tools as we will use Cygwin initially.
And you must have ALL of these: - Strong sense of teamwork
- Excellent communication skills
- Expertise in C/C++. (Python, PHP, Java useful but optional)
- Professional engineering ability
- Flexibility & multi-tasking approach
- US Citizen or permanent resident
