Sr. Software Developer - Spam Researcher

Responsibilities

• Incident response – You will be part of a creative and enthusiastic team which is responsible for responding quickly to spam attacks.
• Longer term spam fighting – Development of automated monitoring/response tools, rapid software prototyping, intelligent analysis, and algorithm design.
• Development and analysis of backend systems
• Analyze large amounts of spam data quickly. If you hate spam and enjoy competing against an active and motivated adversary, this job is for you.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Graduate degree in computer science, mathematics or related field.
• Proficient in automation of data analysis and visual representation.
• Solid grasp of algorithmic concepts in computer science such as sorting, data structures, running time.
• Several years experience writing code in a modern programming language. This means C/C++, PERL, or a like language.
• It is immensely helpful to be able to quickly write PERL/python/bash scripts and work efficiently with common *nix/solaris command line tools.
• Solid understanding of regular expressions.
• Solid understanding of modern database systems, SQL and optimizing queries.
