Sr. Software Engineer
Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco HQ. Position involves research, design, re-architecture of proprietary anti-spam software systems, including upgrade of spam detection algorithms while minimizing number of false positives, using a variety of technologies, including messaging systems, network infrastructures, Linux/Unix, Perl and C/C++ on a mySQL database. Prototype newer ways of detecting and defeating spam based on advanced analysis of past and present spam. Apply various principles of computer science and qualitative analysis in collaboration with product team, including developers, sales engineers and QA personnel.
This position requires an MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
The qualified candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience in software development, including 1+ years of experience developing and implementing algorithms associated with SW development. Qualified candidate should have advanced knowledge of messaging systems, network infrastructures and the Linux/Unix operating systems.
In lieu of a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, a qualified candidate may have a BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus at least 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in software development.
