Job Description:

Salary up to $95K plus 15% bonus potential

Our client, located in San Diego, is looking for a Purchasing Manager with food procurement experience, ideally in a QSR environment. This role is responsible for e valuating and managing the supplier selection process for specified commodities in a strategic manner, at the best possible price consistent with acceptable quality standards, quantity, and reliability of source. 

Will be responsible for dairy, beverage & potato products. The key skills we want are someone that has driven change, done complex & strategic analysis. We are looking for someone to help us improve the wat we do business within the procurement organization.

This position develops and provides ongoing forecasts and supply position recommendations regarding assigned commodity categories.  You will Support the development and testing of new and value-added products for promotions and menu additions by evaluating the capability and capacity of suppliers, and negotiation on price.  Managing cross functional projects and relationships with various departments, including appropriate cross functional and franchise representation

Annual spend $200 million

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or related field and 5+ years purchasing experience in foodservice or QSR .  You should also possess strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.  A proficient knowledge of the food manufacturing/distribution industry and purchasing practices and procedures is preferred.
