Job Description:

The Head of Regional Business Analysis is accountable for customer centric analyses to support the development of customer strategies and business planning. The candidate monitors and assesses the impact of tactics at the local level to drive executional excellence and optimize profitability. The individual also provides consultation to the region to proactively perform value added analysis and to provide appropriate support to implement required business changes.

 

Responsible for identifying, prioritizing, conducting and interpreting locally driven analyses, and coordinating regional analyses/activities with HQ functions (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Marketing Science, Market Research, Field Analysis, Sales & Demand Analysis, IT), the incumbent will conduct market landscape assessments and identify market drivers, influencers and key decision makers. In addition, the candidate is accountable for prioritizing customer issues & opportunities, leveraging data collection and interpretation, as well as providing analytical customer insights and expert advice.

 

  • Monitor business performance at regional and local level
  • Provide operational business analysis in region, reporting and tracking (including regular reporting, ad hoc requests, special projects)
  • Develop analyses appropriate to the local level (e.g. identify regional market trends, local business opportunities)
    Provide the regional leadership team (e.g. GM, MD, RDAM) with analytical support and consultant advice to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Set performance standards based on benchmarks, local market characteristics, customer insights and specific business opportunities
  • Conduct and coordinate analyses (e.g. ROI analysis) in alignment with HQ functions (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Marketing Science, Market Research, Field Analysis, Sales & Demand Analysis, IT)
  • Demonstrated skills and competencies with complex analytical and statistical tools/techniques and problem solving
  • Solid knowledge of IMS & industry data sources, Microsoft Office software suite, Visual Basic (knowledge of internal decision support tools and their uses preferred)
  • Demonstrated consultancy & cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Pharmaceutical Sales/Sales Management, Marketing or other Business Analysis experience preferred (multi-functional experience and proven performance in those positions preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively across functions, specifically with senior management and HQ functions
  • Strong project & process management skills

EDUCATION:

 Undergraduate degree required (M.Sc./MBA preferred)
