PART-TIME
The primary job responsibility will be the implementation, support and troubleshooting of a multi vendor network LAN/WAN. The engineer will support multi clients in the South Texas area. The engineer will provide day to day support for customer technology based projects including but not limited to Applications, Security, Routers, and Switches. Participate in network planning, network architecture, design and engineering. Document/update Network Management System and Asset Database system. After hours and weekend work may be required. Travel required.
Qualifications:
CCNA

2-5 Years LAN/WAN Experience
BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
Microsoft Windows 2000 & 2003 Experience (MCSE is a plus)
Experienced with Cisco IPT a plus
Wireless Site Survey and wireless networking a plus
Excellent LAN/WAN Troubleshooting skills
Experience working with Cisco Routers, Switches, NMS
Experience working with Cisco PIX firewalls, IDS, IPS, and other vendor security appliances
Experience with OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, and Global Load Balancing.
Experience with design and implementation of QOS for LAN/WAN
Ability to perform equipment installations and relocation as required
Ability to monitor and tune network for optimal performance
Excellent communications and documentation skills required
