Goodman Networks, a professional services company serving the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry, is a National Vendor for AT&T Mobility, Andrew Corp., Sprint/Nextel, and Alcatel-Lucent. We have an immediate need for a Project Controls Manager to work in the Boston, MA area.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Regional Directors, Project Manager(s), Finance, Quote Shop, Logistics, Human Resources & IT departments, may include to be SPOC for various customers.
  • The Regional Controls Manager acts as the direct support liaison for the Regional Director.
  • The RCM is accountable for supplying timely and accurate financial data for the Region he/she is assigned to. In addition the RCM is accountable for performing earned value and trend analysis on projects in their Region and reporting summarized regional results.
  • The RCM will support several activities for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The RCM is required to maintain Goodman Networks, Inc. key financial data tracking reports including WIP, EVA, monthly revenue forecasting and POC calculations.
  • Estimate the percentage of time spent on each. These percentages must equal 100%.
  • Maintain EV (Earned Value) project & market reports
  • Ensure Project coordinators are supplying timely and accurate project milestone status trackers (for example, Cingular’s weekly CASPR report) and the maintenance of customer scorecards
  • Work with PM & quote shop on supplier bids
  • Assist and lead in project cost budgeting allocation
  • Maintain and ensure project data is accurate within Oracle database
  • Perform detailed project cost analysis
  • Maintain corporate financial reports (WIP/W.O.H, EVA)
  • Maintain regional (or line of business) reporting
  • Act as a lead in supplying accurate revenue forecasting data
  • Provide timely feedback to Finance if a project takes a turn positive or negative
  • Evaluate processes, offer suggestion and solutions creating efficiency
  • May act as customer interface on various functions
  • Lead and direct project coordinators and PMO coordinators on timely billing
  • Ensuring all defined processes are being followed
  • Attend Regional meetings as required
  • Attend PMO conference calls and meetings, offer input for process improvement and standardization 

Requirements:
This Controls Manager position is for the Comcast-TMO fiber to the cell site project in the greater Boston area.  This person will be responsible for managing both Goodman and Comcast financials and should have accounting experience with capex/opex differentiation.  The contract requires detail earned value management for the entire project, so expertise with EVM is a requirement.
*  Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that requires personal accountability
*  Must have strong financial and project coordination/management experience
*  Prefer Oracle database experience
*  Excellent MS Excel skills
*  Superb written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact with customers, vendors, and other departments
