Goodman Networks, a professional services company serving the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry, is a National Vendor for AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Andrew Corp., and Alcatel/Lucent. We are seeking a Sr. Buyer in Plano, Texas area.
Overview
The successful candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge of sourcing and purchasing principles and have a proven track record for achieving tremendous results in lead time reduction, supplier management, sourcing, and cost optimization. Scope includes development of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, Bid management, Supplier selection, Negotiations, Supplier Management, and Purchase Order management.
Responsibilities
Drive the development of a true Sourcing Strategy and establish a robust and controlled Request for Proposal (RFP) Process
Manage Suppliers to contractual obligations conducting Business Reviews quarterly
Manage Purchase orders
Drive supply chain efficiencies in price, lead time, and inventory holding
Develop returns materials procedures
Negotiate favorable terms for price and inventory management
Requirements
7+ Years experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain or Logistics
Current experience in Wireless or Wireline industry
Knowledgeable of 3rd Party Logistics
Buying and sourcing
BBA in Mathematics, Statistics, or Business
Expert user of Excel and Oracle MRP, version 11i
APICS certification highly desirable
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement
Effective presentation skills
Effectively able to work in teams
Work and train with junior members of the department.
