Job Description:

Goodman Networks, a professional services company serving the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry, is a National Vendor for AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Andrew Corp., and Alcatel/Lucent.  

 

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for an assignment in Texas - one in San Antonio and one in Dallas.  Projects involve UMTS, 3G, new site builds in an Ericsson environment.  e911 background is a MUST.   Local candidates to San Antonio and/or Dallas are preferred.

Description:

  • Duties will include overall tracking and ensuring E911 compliance and deployment schedules are met. 
  • Work with internal and external parties, routing verification, help oversee BSC rehomes.  Experienced in network planning and design; forecast and design new platforms; and develop E911 Granite flowchart entries. 
  • Responsible for new site activations to include determining the jurisdiction status of sites as Phase 1, 2, or pending Phase 2 service. 
  • Participate in weekly E911 meetings. 
  • SCOUT review to determine if LMU is needed. 
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on FCC E911 regulations and interface with internal teams and external vendors to implement E911 requirements and maintain compliance. 
  • Monitor Intrado, TCS, TP and Andrews sector E911 call reports to verify that all sectors are processing emergency calls in the defined reliability range.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Telecommunications.
  • Undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Background in RF Engineering, Project Management, and E911 experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PSAP, location hardware, core network and a broad knowledge of RF Engineering.
  • Candidates need to be strong in planning and organizing work projects, capable of prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree or 6-8 years of related experience the wireless/telecommunications industry.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of engineering and/or operational experience with wireless service delivery platforms and networks.
