Job Description:

Goodman Networks, a professional services company serving the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry, is a National Vendor for AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Andrew Corp., Sprint/Nextel, and Alcatel/Lucent.

We are currently seeking several qualified Microwave Design Engineers for a project that can work remotely.

Design tool being used is Pathloss.

 

  • Preliminary Microwave path design.
    • Analyze Microwave network requirements
    • Prepare engineering models, setting design criteria
    • Locate sites on topographical maps
    • Prepare path profiles
    • Construct network diagrams
    • Perform frequency feasibility analyses
    • Prepare preliminary design documentation
    • Review preliminary design with customer

 

  • Site and path survey.
    • Prepare site survey field packages
    • Perform site survey and the reports that go with them
    • Coordinate efforts for microwave path survey vendors, documentation and reports
    • Review path and site survey reports with customer

 

  • Final Microwave path design.
    • Revise path profiles with field verified data
    • Perform reflection analysis
    • Select and size antennas
    • Set final antenna centerlines
    • Perform final path performance calculations
    • Verify performance objective achieved
    • Prepare microwave design document
    • Conduct review with customer

 

  • Frequency Coordination
    • Prepare technical content
    • Assign frequencies to links

 

  • FCC License application document preparation
    • Prepare technical content
    • Resolve technical questions

 

  • Equipment Engineering
    • Prepare equipment list
    • Prepare site records and installation specifications
    • Track material shipments at site
    • Prepare as-built drawings
