Firmware SYSTEMS & VERIFICATION engineer

We are seeking a Firmware Systems & Verification Engineer, you will be joining a team of professionals in the development & verification of real-time firmware for SoC devices with embedded MIPS processors.

Responsibilities:

• Verification of firmware, root causing of issues & where possible including code updates
• Tools development for support of firmware products
• Maintaining regular build processes
• Working with customers on the above items
• Contributing to the definition of processes related to test methodology and its interaction with development procedures
• Development tools issue tracking and resolution
• Implementation of tools and systems in use by development teams
• Analyzing 3rd party tools/software capabilities
• Writing and reviewing comprehensive engineering documentation.

Qualifications:

• BSEE or BS Computer Science/Math with emphasis in storage processing.
• 5-7+ years of software/firmware system development/verification work for real-time streaming media systems, or demonstrated comparable experience.
• Detailed working knowledge of firmware design and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to conceive, design, implement and document complex firmware systems.
• Designer of embedded software systems.
• Proficient programmer in C and assembly for embedded devices.
• Knowledgeable in use of tool chains and debug tools.
• Effective communicator (verbal and written) of technical ideas.

Additional Desired qualifications:

• Proficient programmer in C and assembly
• Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management

• Knowledge of OS driver architectures in addition to Windows/Linux

Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
