Job Description

Our company is currently seeking a Product Manager for Megapixel IP Cameras that will have the responsibility for managing both product marketing & development. The successful candidate will manage products through its lifecycle, prioritize/gather product & customer requirements, interface with engineering, deliver willing products, & define product vision. He or she works with support, marketing, engineering, & sales staffs to guarantee that products & marketing efforts are in line with the company’s overall goals & strategy.

The Product Manager is expected to:

  • Create product and related launch pad packages
  • Run pilot & beta programs that have early-stage samples & products
  • Expertise with knowledge of competition
  • Deliver of product/market documents with corresponding justification & prioritized features
  • Interface with external third parties to assess development opportunities & partnerships
  • Manage the development of third party partner relationships & serve as a liaison for engineering & marketing
  • Complete product training & to customers
  • Train & brief the sales force in quarterly sales meeting & monthly webinars
  • Create sales collateral & tools.
  • Create the core messaging & positioning for products
  • Set pricing that will meet profitability & revenue goals
  • Give monthly revenue forecasts by product type
  • Create an overall product budget to guarantee success
  • Serve as a product leader within the company

Required experience and knowledge:

  • Camera engineering and/or imaging experience is a must
  • Product Manager experience is preferred
  • Security or CCTV industry experience is a plus
  • Past success launching & defining top products
  • Solid verbal & written communication skills
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Solid teamwork skills
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams without having formal authority
  • Able to travel around 25 percent of the time
  • Ability to provide examples with at least one sample of an efficient document that was delivered in the past

Key Initial Responsibilities:

  • Create OEM new mechanical configurations for new & existing product lines
  • Evaluate & expand megapixel lens offering
  • Create prepackaged lens/camera/housing configurations & process them to be manufactured
  • Assist in the management of OEM relationships & customer configurations 
  • Develop A&E specifications for the entire range of products
  • Create technical product information & instruction manuals
  • Develop a bar-coding process for all products
