Job Description:

We have ongoing needs for experienced designated accountants to assist in the implementation of the new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).   If you enjoy project work and have an exceptional understanding of IFRS then this is a great opportunity for you to become a project leader as an IFRS Implementation Specialist.

Core Duties:

• In the role of IFRS Implementation Specialist you will work with our clients to ensure proper interpretation and application of the International Financial Reporting Standards to their business
•  Analyse the impact of IFRS on the client’s financial accounts and reporting processes 
•  Assist with the development of proper accounting and reporting changes to ensure a timely transition to IFRS
• Assist in the appropriate documentation of new accounting policies and procedures for IFRS compliance
• Assist in the training of client’s  finance and accounting staff on new IFRS processes
• Aid in the timely completion of the implementation of new processes to facilitate reporting in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards
   

Required Skills:

• CA, CGA or CMA designation
• 5 or more years Financial Reporting experience in public accounting practice or  public company environment
• Exceptional financial accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced project manager who can deliver leadership to ensure project success

Contract Rate:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill set
