Responsibilities of this position include:

• Overseeing and managing client audits including scheduling, planning, file review, budget preparation and allocation of time charged

• Working independently on more difficult corporate and tax matters, when necessary

• Delivering financial statements and working paper files in accordance with firm standards in a timely, effective manner

• Developing and managing a client base

• Keeping the Partners informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues

• Managing team workload requirements and providing assistance to Partners in reviewing and evaluating staff members

• Working closely with clients including attending client and audit meetings, preparation of management letters and related correspondence

 

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• CA, CGA or CMA designation
• At least five years' experience in a public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of audit planning

• Advanced understanding of accounting policies and audit techniques

• Advanced computer skills in Caseware/Caseview, Excel, Word and Taxprep

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Excel and Word)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
