Audit and Assurance Manager

Our small public practice client, located in White Rock, is currently searching for an Audit and Assurance Manager to join their team. The main role of the successful individual will be to head up Quality Control for the firm. The candidate would report directly to all partners.
Responsibilities of the Audit and Assurance Manager include (however not limited to):
- File quality reviews, Engagement reviews and Financial Statement reviews for several offices
- Manager work flow and oversee staff in the White Rock location
- Ensure the firm is meeting GAAP and file requirements
- Contact and meet with clients to discuss year ends, financial statements and company information
- Assist partners with consulting and tax planning
- Conduct Notice To Readers
- Audits both internally and externally for public companies
- Prepare client files
Requirements of the Audit and Assurance Manager include:
- Accounting Designation (CA or CGA)
- Preference to a recent graduate
- 3-5 years of public practice experience including supervisory experience
- Strong GAAP skills a must
- Experience working on Notice To Reader’s & Reviews
- Willing to work overtime
- Small business, owner manage and Not-For-Profit organization experience preferred
