| Our Edmonton based client, an International Oil & Gas manufacturing firm, is in need of a Cost Accountant for a full time permanent position. Core Duties: - In the role of Cost Accountant you will report directly to the Corporate Controller
- You will focus on the daily management of the inventory costing system
- Assist within the finance group in the preparation of monthly, and annual financial statements reporting including preparation of detailed inventory reconciliations and physical inventory counts
- Provide variance analysis including production and labour variances
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Assist on an as needed basis in other financial reporting areas
Required Skills: - Minimum of 3 years financial accounting experience
- Accounting Degree and enrolled in an accounting designation program
- Exceptional financial accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of month end reporting
- Experience with AccPac and Crystal Reports
- Experience within Manufacturing Industry would be an asset
- Experience with inventory costing and management
- Strong Accounting reconciliation and analytical skills
- Exceptional team player
