Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with senior level experience in the mining and exploration industry looking to work in the renewable energy sector.  Our client, a renewable energy company, is focused on the exploration and development of sustainable geothermal power.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage budgets
•   Design and implement the company’s exploration programs in addition to developing geological and resource models
• Direct, coordinate and perform (as appropriate) the technical and economical evaluation of new venture opportunities
• Provide strategic leadership to grow and enhance the organization's capabilities in addition to achieving its objectives
• Assist in recommending and formulating a strategy for key projects and monitoring local and global competition

Competencies and Skills:

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; must also have strong presentation skills
• Strong analytical and management/leadership capabilities
•   Must be familiar with 3D modeling software and have excellent technical skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment; must be able to multi-task

Required Qualifications:

• Post secondary degree required (Masters in Geology or Mining Engineering is preferred)
• Geothermal experience is preferred (10+ years), although oil & gas or mining background will be considered
