My client is a management organization that provides support services in the field of broadcasting to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
They are currently engaged in the construction of the International Broadcast Centre and the Whistler Broadcast Centre.
The requirement is for an Electrical Engineer who would focus on the power needs at OBC and WBC and other competition venues as required
Duties
Assist the Director of Construction with the design and installation of power requirements at the IBC
Complete the in-house electrical design work with the support of the AutoCAD operator
Perform ongoing reviews of main power supply , technical and domestic power supplies including lighting , cable tray layouts and fire alarm
Provide field support and inspections to ensure quality control during the construction and the Games period
Required
A degree in Electrical Engineering with a solid level of practical experience
Ideally APEGBC registered or eligible for
MS OFFICE
Fluent English with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment and deal with the pressures of such a dynamic and fast moving role.
