WAI is a nationwide staffing agency for writers and training developers / instructional designers. Currently we are looking for a lead Training Developer in the Sun Valley, CA area.
Our client is a utility company with training documentation that is anywhere from 10 to 20 years old. They want these courses re-done, edited and changed where applicable. The training will remain instructor lead, so will include lesson plans, curriculum and supporting power point slides. This will not take place of the on the job training, which is about 15% of the training itself.
A large part of this need will be to meet with the client and to be the lead in interacting with the SME's. It will also involve management of other team members.
A background in the utility industry is preferred, next best would be an electrical background and next a mechanical background. The lead ID will need to have as much on-site time as is needed (could but up to 100% on-site).
