Commercial Millwork Engineer

Our client, one of Wisconsin's leading High End Commercial Architectural Millwork Firms, is rapidly growing and is in need of a Millwork Engineer to join their team. Their success depends upon a quality staff; therefore, they hire the best people who work together toward the same goal – keeping their customers satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:
* Creates working Shop Drawings and updates them adding Field 
   Dimensions and tagging each item, to be shipped, on the Master List.
* Understands AWI Quality Standards. Uses AWI Standards as the basis for
   Manufacturing / Drafting Standards.
* Research and Coordinate miscellaneous Metals, Glass, and other Products
   into the Shop Drawings as specified by the Architect or Designer. 

Required Capabilities:
* Understand Architectural / Millwork Shop Drawings to determine how to
   Draw and/or Build required items. 
* Advanced Math Skills; Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.
* Computer and CAD Skills to create working Shop Drawings.
* Ability to exchange information with others and work effectively as part of a
   team.   
* Understand CNC Programming.
* Work with MicroSoft Excel and Access.

Essential Functions:
*
Create working Shop Drawings.
* Cross Reference Bid-Scope against Architectural Details (Coordinate with
   Estimating Dept.).
* Create Hardware Submittals.
* Formulate preliminary RFI's.
* Revise Shop Drawings to reflect Red-line and Field Dimension changes.
* Work through Design Elements that were not properly detailed in
   Architectural Drawings (i.e. Field Dimensions differ from Architectural
   Drawings).
* Assign Tag References to the Shop Drawing and Master List to account for
   all items to be shipped to the Job Site.
* Coordinate Change Order Work.
* Coordinate with Purchasing for Material Order.
* Interface with Project Managers, Estimators, and Purchasing.
* Additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
