- Director of Sales
Our client is a national provider of architectural millwork to some of the largest sports and health clubs, hotels, libraries, and restaurants in the country. Their services include the complete fabrication, delivery, and installation of product made from veneers, laminate, solid wood, wood moldings, solid surfaces and architectural metals. The company is currently embracing an environmentally and economically sustainable business strategy. We been hired to find a Full-Time experienced Director of Sales with a history of seven (7) plus years in building new client relationships, maintaining excellent customer service, and surpassing quotas. This key role will drive sales volume by developing new clientele (75% of sales efforts will be concentrated on new client development), as well as striving to deepen existing account penetration in current accounts by contacting end-users, developers, architects, general contractors and interior designers.
Responsibilities: Sales of Architectural Millwork services Meeting quarterly and annual sales targets Creating demand, proposing, and closing opportunities with end-users, developers, architects, general contractors and interior designers Maintaining existing client relationships Assisting customers in the development of their Millworking needs Delivering presentations to developers, architects, general contractors and interior designers Some out of state travel is required Participation in dedicated lead exchange groups and industry-type associations Continually expanding industry knowledge and contacts Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing environment with changing needs and priorities Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Capabilities: Previous sales experience in, or alongside, the woodworking industry is preferred Proven business development track record Excellent at relationship building Great communication, presentation, and organizational skills Positive attitude, high-energy, proactive and flexible Excited about being involved in a growing operation, hungry for new opportunity, and a can do attitude Motivated self starter who doesn't need to be micromanaged A problem solver who overcomes potential obstacles Willing to take on new challenges to include participation in the development and marketing of the company as an environmentally focused Millworker Team oriented 4 year college degree or equivalent experience Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word) This position is based in Chicago with flexibility to work from both home and office Base Salary and Commission Program, Health Care, Vacation and Expenses
