Details
    Our client, known as one of the leading manufacturer, design and installation firms in the country, seeks an Estimator / Business Development Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate must have 5-7 years in Architectural Millwork estimating for Interior finishes, glass, tile, fixtures, doors, trim and millwork. Job Summary
Responsible for estimating project costs; developing sales leads; preparing bid proposals; and other similar duties, primarily those pertaining to costing millwork jobs.  Responsible estimating doors, hardware, millwork, glass, and work closely with customers and establish new relationships/opportunities for the company.  Must have track record of $10+mil/yr in volume to be considered.

Essential Job Functions
Develop estimates of job costs from architectural drawings or plans for potential projects: review project plans such as architectural drawings, blueprints, or other similar information; contact architects, general contractors or others in order to obtain necessary information pertaining to projects; determine best usage or materials and labor; develop detailed listings of materials needed, labor units, etc., and calculate the final cost to produce. Review changes in original contract and develop pricing for change orders as directed.

Develop and track sales leads: solicit bid documents from past and/or potential future clients. Participate in sale closings: meet with clients as required; negotiate terms and prices within established policy limits.

Prepare project bid proposal packages: compile and summarize cost data, and other proposal materials; write proposal and submit to clients who are bidding a job. Follow up on outstanding bid proposals as appropriate. Update or revise plans and/or proposal, etc., as necessary prior to 'hand off' to Project Manager.

Develop new business and clientele through networking, cold calling and attending industry functions.

Perform other similar duties as dictated by responsibility or necessity, or requested by supervisor.
