Web Developer

Job Responsibilities

• Code implementation and revisions (HTML programming, JavaScript, ActionScript, CSS, etc.) including implementation of SEO strategies and best practices.
• Creation of analytical tools to support cross-functional teams for forecasting, monitoring, and reporting activities, as well as track against business goals.
• Perform technical website analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis with the search engine marketing team.
• Work with game development studio and content editors to develop, implement and refine new features for company's online properties.
• Conduct usability testing and other analyses to ensure that your work fosters improved usability and, importantly, measurable revenue enhancement.
• Create and implement documentation and standards for Web-related projects.

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience programming and building database-driven Web sites and applications using PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Flex, Actionscript and/or JSP/Servlets. Development experience in a Linux environment would be a plus.
• Strong aptitude for writing elegant code with the ability to contemplate and realize its reuse.
• You are smart, passionate and thrive on getting things done, but never one to be fully satisfied with your work; you enjoy revisiting your designs to make sure the Web site is always the best it can be.
• Working experience with content management systems configuration and customization.
• When faced with challenges, you seek solutions proactively keeping in mind the fundamental needs of Web site users in order to discover and download, as well as transact and purchase games.
• Quick learner, ability to learn new technologies and deliver on fast-pace schedule.
• Be security conscious, understand Web site security fundamentals, and privacy requirements such as PCI compliance.
• Have experience with developing database schemas to support new Web site features, database normalization and query optimization.
