Principal Applications Consultant
Overview:
The Application Engineer will be a member of the Professional Services team with direct customer contact. You will work as part of a team in providing value-added services to help our customers to successfully deliver optimized services to their wireless networks. . Specifically, your responsibility will include, but not limited to:
--Analyzing data collected from wireless devices across the following domains, Device, Radio, and Application Performance.
--Producing Reports providing actionable information and suggested problem resolutions from the data analyzed.
--Assist Product management and Engineering with new product initiatives
--Work with PS Management team to devise value added services to company customers
--Provide guidance and training to customers and/or less experienced engineers in the group.
Skills/Experience:
--Bachelor in EE, CS, or equivalent technical degree with an emphasis on telecommunications is preferred
--Proficient with UNIX environment, C/C++ and SQL scripting is a big plus.
--Strong knowledge of wireless Technology (GSM, HSxPA, WCDMA, UMTS)
-- Knowledge of TCP/IP applications running on top of wireless technologies is a plus.
--Familiar with RF Engineering/Optimization tools such as PlaNET, Actix, Wizard, MapInfo etc. is a plus.
--Strong leadership and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal skills required.
--Strong verbal & written communication skills is a must
--Flexible to travel as required
