Job Description:

Embedded Software Development Engineer (Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Canada)

Salary: up to low 70’s USD (employee would be paid in Canadian dollars).

Work status: US Citizens can work in Toronto if they apply for a TN visa at the US-Canada border. You would need to produce a US Birth Certificate, US State Driver License or Government Picture ID (i.e. US Passport), Letter of Employment Offer from client and approximately $150-$200 in visa fees (which will be reimbursed by client).  Non-Canadian / Non-USA Citizens would not qualify for the TN visa.

MUST HAVE: We are looking for someone with software background, from the fabless semiconductor industry, who has good C, C++, and Networking skills.

Requirements:

• Degree should be in either electrical engineering or in software engineering
• Candidate must have at least 2-5 years of prior experience
• Must have experience networking with M.A.C level, IP protocol
• Must have experience with RTOS (real time operating systems)
• Helpful to have had experience writing multi-threaded, embedded applications
• Helpful to have had exposure to the hardware interface and interface to the RTOS within a software embedded environment
• If the employee is given specifications by a more senior member for the Software Development team, he/she is capable of designing input/output/parameters of own block functions under supervision of dept. management.
