Our client is looking for a UX Designer.

Project Description:

Our team is seeking an exceptional user experience designer with strong interaction and visual design skills. As the UX designer, you will work directly with managers and developers to create high-fidelity wireframes and visual comps, and assist in implementing these designs in accordance with usability best practices.

This position will be for the first phase of a 3 phase social web application that will connect you with the people and places you care about most, when it matters most. This is an extremely high profile project with national government exposure. We are looking for only the best of the best. This position will report to one of the best former UX designers in the state, so expectations are high.

This will begin as a 3-4 week short term project. However, if the candidate provides outstanding work, they may have an opportunity to extend into a long term position.

Responsibilities:

         Balance business requirements with user goals to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements

         Develop and update detailed, high-fidelity wireframes and mockups to effectively communicate complex work-flow designs to the development team

         Present design work to the product team for review and feedback, and work collaboratively with developers for the implementation of designs

         Develop and maintain detailed design patterns

Required Skills:

         Understand usability and Work Flow for web applications.

         Candidates must have an advanced portfolio for viewing and be prepared to share work samples.

         Candidate must flourish in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

         Candidate should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision

         Candidate will work closely with project managers, senior management stakeholders, and developers. Prior experience working within a technical environment is a strong plus

         Candidates should possess exceptional visual and user interface design skills, as well as an understanding of user-centered design principals

         The applicant must have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details

         Strong communication skills and the ability to stay highly organized are critical

         Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar
