CISCO UCCX Developer

Job Description:

Our client requires an experienced resource for software application development.  Knowledge of application development life-cycle, processes and methodologies is a must.  The candidate must possess a background with proven experience in the deployment and implementation of mission-critical Cisco solutions.

Cisco – Prime Platform & Product Sets

Work with customers to design, implement, and support Cisco Unified Communications applications. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and have the ability to independently resolve technical issues.

The UC Engineer / software developer / scripter will primarily work under the guidance of a UC Architect, but will also be required to provide leadership and direction for development teams.

Candidate responsibilities include:

  • Cisco UCCX (formerly IPCCx) software application development and scripting.
  • Contribute to detailed design development for Cisco UC applications
  • Install, maintain, and operate core Cisco call processing applications, Cisco messaging applications, and Cisco gateway technologies
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Develop documentation as it relates to project requirements
  • Research and analyze existing software releases and services patches as well as performing software installs based on recommendations
  • Develop detailed implementation and test plans for implementing Cisco UC technologies
  • Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients
  • Travel to client (on-site) for implementation, production cutover, training.

Candidate Relative Certifications:

  • CCNA, CCDP, CCVP, CCNP or equivalent experience
  • CRAE scripting
  • Java, HTML, VXML

Candidate Experience:

  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency with fundamental networking principals such as IP addressing, VLAN separation, QoS, and network layer security as it applies to voice technologies
  • Candidate should have 4-6 years of industry experience with at least 2-3 years experience with Cisco voice applications and technologies.  UCCX application development & scripting is a must.
  • Candidate should have fundamental understanding and experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX - formerly IPCC Express), and Cisco voice gateway technologies
  • Candidate should have the ability to articulate and interpret design schemas (call flows, functional specifications, architectural diagrams, etc.) – programming/business-analysis skills including the ability to understand end-to-end call centre environments and technologies.
  • Experience with SCCP, SIP, H.323, and MGCP is required

Detail and process-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring high quality results while meeting or exceeding project technical objectives within pre-defined scope & delivery schedules.

Individual should possess a strong command of the English language with strong interpersonal skills and enjoys establishing customer & partner relationships and recognizes the need to provide value to foster such relationships.
