Our client is a booming $5B innovative healthcare and medical equipment device/supply company based in Southern California . They manufacture and also track closely the quality of their products given the potential liability associated with such products.
They are currently looking to hire a dynamic and seasoned Director of Applications and Support. The applications cut across CRM, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and other corporate applications.
The team size this person would manage is roughly 100 total in Development and this is a combination of on and off-shore outsourced resources and internal employees.
This is a rapidly changing environment with the spin off so they need someone who can manage in that environment and also be able to communicate with the business.
The company was built through acquisition over time and there are still disparate groups around the country with outlier development groups so they lack a consistent process. They want to put together a more formalized software development organization, pulling those disparate groups together, and have a more controlled development organization with consistent methodologies, processes, etc.
The prime development work is in SAP ABAP, SAP Netweaver, Java, and .Net. They have full suite of SAP applications implemented including CRM.
The successful candidate will be very knowledgeable knowledgeable in technology and likely someone who has progressed up the ranks as a SW Developer and now has the maturity and experience to drive change in an organization. They are not looking for just a leader (Director or VP)...they need a technologist and leader.
Accountabilities:
Candidate should have a strong overall SAP knowledge, including the inter-relations between various modules and systems.
