Expected Job Duties:

To assemble printed wiring boards, wire chassis and electronic boxes.

• Solder some through-hole and many SMT electronic components of various pitches onto prototype printed wiring boards.  40%
• Construct breadboards by hand wiring circuits and preparing chassis by drilling and wiring connectors and circuit cards.  20%
• Assemble circuit cards, connectors and other components into housings and make the interconnections between the components using solder and crimp as appropriate.  30%
• Kit parts and assist with other administrative parts of the electronics fab and assembly process.  10%

Required Skills/Education

• Working knowledge and some experience with soldering and assembly skills required.
• Knowledge of soldering fine-pitch SMT components a plus.
• Chassis wiring skills also required.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and other fabrication documentation.
• Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work as a team member and be a willing and quick learner.

• Controlled access labs
• Occasional overtime required.
