Level of Security Clearance:
Positions at APL may require U.S. Citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances.
Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.
Expected Job Duties:
To work with board, box, subsystem, and GSE engineers to document and refine requirements, review designs and, as appropriate, recommend flight design changes to improve and simplify testing. Generate test plans, test procedures, test scripts, and verification matrix. Work with GSE lead engineer to generate board and box level
GSE designs. Support HW lab, assembly, test and debug.
§ Document and refine subsystem box- and boatel-level requirements.
§ Review designs and recommend as appropriate design changes to improve and simplify testing.
§ Generate test plans test procedures and test scripts.
§ Generate test verification matrix and verify all requirements have been met.
§ Participate in GSE hardware and software designs efforts.
§ Support flight hardware fabrication, assembly, test and debug.
Required Skills/Education:
- BSEE or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in GSE hardware design and testing in support of flight hardware
- Experience in documenting requirements, generating test plans and procedures, and verifying requirements
- Must be able to interact effectively with board and subsystem lead engineers
