Business Intelligence Architect

Full Time Consulting position

Location:  Consulting in Carmel and the greater Indianapolis metro area

Travel:  Minor regional travel may be required

Position Information.

In this highly visible role, the Business Intelligence Architect will set project delivery guidelines and best practices, participate in technical sales support, and lead BI related engagements. The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for the overall architecture, design and direction for delivery of BI applications for clients of Ambassador Solutions.  The ideal BI Architect’s profile will have at least 10+ years of experience as a data and/or business intelligence architect. Extensive knowledge with data warehouse and business intelligence tools including multiple DBMS. This individual must have excellent communications skills and be able to translate strategy for optimal results. The BI Architect engages in problem solving at the business and technology levels and communicates results to all levels of management and with technologists within an organization.

• Presentations to all levels of management at client locations

Requirements:

• BS in Comp Sci or related
• At least 8-10 years of experience working within the BI domain. A history of technical work with BI tools and technology along with a sustained transition, focusing more exclusively on the business-centric BI leadership.  
• Demonstrated advanced experience implementing Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server
• Experience with non-Microsoft BI platforms and reporting tools, including Cognos, Business Objects, Etc. is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated Project Management experience; PMP preferred
• Demonstrated experience or ability for Pre-sales tech support
• Demonstrated consulting and business acumen; excellent presentation and client facing skills.
