SharePoint Architect
Full Time Consulting position
Location: Consulting in the greater Indianapolis metro area
Travel: Minor regional travel may be required (10-20%)

Position Information and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is experienced in delivering high quality SharePoint solutions with proven technical background, strong analytical skills, well-rounded business/industry experience, and a flair for customer satisfaction. Must have experience with several large SharePoint implementations to build architecture to support multiple portals with several thousand users.
The SharePoint Architect is responsible for architecting enterprise solutions (using .NET 3.0 code using Visual Studio) for our clients which include environment installation and configuration.
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of Microsoft IW principles including supporting technologies such as SharePoint Technologies (Windows SharePoint Services v2, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, Windows SharePoint Services v3, Office SharePoint Server 2007), Office System, InfoPath, Forms Services, Excel Services and Web services
• An in-depth knowledge of .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
• Experience in the implementation of SharePoint Collaboration tools and ability to seamlessly integrate with other Microsoft tools
• Implementation and integration of SharePoint Reporting Functions, Implementation and Integration of SharePoint Document Management functions with the ability to take SharePoint beyond "out of the box" to provide enhanced executive dashboards, data exploration and operating reports
• Ability to lead complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, programming and unit testing for Information Worker applications based on Microsoft technologies
• Strong ability to assist clients with business requirements for their SharePoint and Office System based solutions and create the appropriate Information Architecture (taxonomy)
• Continuous learning and mentoring: Possess a strong desire to develop new technical knowledge and professional skills on a continual basis AND shares that knowledge with teammates
Skills and experience requirements:
• 2+ years Microsoft SharePoint experience, specifically MOSS, web parts development, solution creation, InfoPath, and workflow (business process design and automation)
• 2+ years of experience architecting, designing and developing distributed systems including demonstrated experience with .Net Framework, SQL, C#, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, web services and XML
• 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft web development technologies, including .NET
• 3+ years of requirements gathering and solution definition related to IT
• 3+ years portal architecture, enterprise content management, and business intelligence experience
• At least 7 years overall IT experience in increasingly responsible positions, including at least 3 years of consulting experience
• BS Degree in Comp Sci or related
• Object oriented design and implementation
• N-Tier and distributed systems architecture and design
• Technical communication (UML, design documentation)
