Senior Circuit Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
The Senior Circuit Design Engineer participates in the design of custom and semi-custom logic for the Kilocore architecture. Specific responsibilities include:
Custom circuit design for KiloCore products.
Floorplanning custom blocks.
Custom block architecture definition working closely with chip architects.
Perform SPICE, fast-SPICE, and mixed-mode simulation.
Supervise and assist with custom layout as needed.
Perform RCX extraction and LVS/DRC verification.
Power, IR drop, and SI analysis.
Develop timing models for custom blocks.
Assist with silicon bring-up.

Qualifications:
Minimum MS EE/CS required, plus 10 or more years of relevant industry experience.
Experience as senior or lead circuit design engineer for significant custom blocks in at least four successful ASIC designs, at least two in 90nm or 130nm technologies. Experience with custom logic/datapaths/memories for graphics/media processors, reconfigurable processors, or microprocessors desirable.
Strong circuit design and layout, functional, testability and timing verification skills.
Very good working knowledge of relevant IC design tools, languages, and techniques, including: HSPICE, HSIM or other fast-SPICE tools, LVS/DRC/RCX tools, static timing tools, schematic entry and layout tools, etc.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with all stages in the ASIC and custom/mixed-signal circuit design flow, silicon bring-up and ATE test support.
Flexible, creative, and able to develop high quality designs independently with minimal supervision.
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
