| Director of RF & IC Development | | Location: | Irvine, California | | Schedule: | Full Time | | Start Date: | Immediate | | Summary The Product Application Engineer will work closely with the engineering and marketing team members to support all design in activities at customers. The PAE will take a leading role in creating supporting resources such as evaluation boards and reference designs, will assist with the definition of new products and system designs and will help create supportive technical sales material and collateral such as application notes, designers guides etc. . This position will work with both Product Engineering and Product Marketing Engineering to transition products from development to production and to support and secure design wins. This position requires expertise with RF applications and circuit design as well as hands-on experience with test equipment, design of evaluation boards and creation of reference solutions. The role will require excellent written and spoken presentation skills and the ability to create accurate and easily read documentation for internal and external use. Responsibilities and Duties - Support design in activities and sales
- Create and Manage application engineering resources including evaluation boards.
- Support and debug customers applications.
- Work closely with Product Test Engineering to validate product suitability and compliance for desired applications
- Create supportive documentation, Application notes, Designers Guides and external market support literature
Experience Requirements - B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- >5 years of RF electronic product applications and support experience
- Superior written and oral communications and presentation skills
- 3-5 years of comprehensive RF PCB level design and debug experience (demo boards and evaluation kits)
- 5+ years experience in creating and delivering technical training presentations and supportive documentation
- Previous experience and aptitude at writing technical applications notes for RF, MEMS, and CMOS/GaAs circuit related devices and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of RF Circuits and Systems design.
- Experience in using and interpreting wide range of analog test and measurement equipment including wafer-level probing.
- 5+ years experience in using bench equipment (Agilent, Fluke, Tektronics, “Rohder & Schwarz”, etc.)
- Hardware experience with silicon wafer probing systems, multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meters, network analyzers
- Software experience with test program development using labview and basic statistical analysis software a plus.
- PCB layout or CAD tools experience would be beneficial
