Senior EDA Tool Administrator

Responsibilities

The Senior EDA Tool Administrator supports the ASIC Department by installing and maintaining EDA tools for use by engineers. Specific responsibilities include:
Install EDA tools, licenses and license servers, and other support applications such as version control software.
Provide tool support to designers and coordinate vendor support when needed.
Assist with development of complete tools flows, including interfacing between tools, develops scripts, configurations, and environment files.
Assist with specification and purchase of IT hardware including Linux workstations and servers, storage subsystems, and other system components.
Document tools flows and utilities and help train new hires.
Ideal candidate will be able to perform basic system administration and setup for Redhat Enterprise Linux.

Qualifications:

BS in CS/EE or related field, plus seven or more years of relevant experience.
Very good knowledge at a generalist level of the overall ASIC design flow.
Familiar with industry standard tools from a variety of vendors, including Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics.
Familiar with Unix/Linux environment, standard system tools and utilities.
Excellent programming skills in Perl and Tcl, and ideally SKILL as well.
Flexible, creative, and able perform high quality work independently with minimal supervision.
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
