Senior Applications Engineer (Support)
We are looking for a “Senior Applications Engineer (Support)” who possesses proven depth and understanding of analog electronic embedded hardware and firmware/software development with strong organizational and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with great technical breadth and energy to enable our customers to deliver exciting touch-based products to the market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing processes and systems for providing Field Applications Engineers with training and specialist support as well as managing support quires from the Field on a day-to-day basis.
Typical Duties will include:
Development of Technical Support Processes, Systems and Tools for our FAEs:
Support FAEs and key customers with challenging technical problems in custom designs
Write datasheets, application notes, trade magazine articles, and related product support documents
Meet customers (internal & external) and participate in effective technical discussions with them
Desired background:
Minimum of Bachelor of Computer Science, EE or equivalent (CS, CE, EE)
3-5 years experience developing embedded products (hardware and software)
3-5 years experience providing a technical support role to customers
Have a strong understanding of embedded systems design
o Strong understanding of analogue design and digital theory
o Board level (PCB) design experience
o Proficient in understanding C for embedded environments
o Experience with system integration and board-level debug/bring-up
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Experience with building web-based tool desirable
Willing to do some travel
