Job Description:
Principal Analog Design Engineer Primary responsibilities: -
-
Architecture definition for power products -
-
Transistor level circuit design -
-
Mentoring mid to senior level design/layout engineers -
Interface with application, product, process and test engineers to ensure that the product goals are achieved -
Silicon Evaluation/characterization Required Skills: -
BSEE and 12+ years relevant industry experience or MSEE/PhD and -
10+ years of relevant experience -
Solid understanding of analog IC design -
Must have minimum 5 years experience with the design of power management ICs or RFICs -
Good understanding of process technology and semiconductor device physics, with emphasis on CMOS circuits -
Basic understanding of Bipolar transistor physics -
Experience with as many of the following circuits as possible: Comparators, Oscillators, bandgap references, low dropout regulators (LDOs), Switching regulators (DC/DC power converters), bias circuits, charge pumps, amplifiers (low offset and high speed), thermal shutdown temperature sensors, analog multipliers, phase locked loops, ADCs and DACs, power transistor design and layout -
Knowledge of analog layout techniques, such as matching Ability to work independently and design complex analog blocks Good communication and writing skills Must Have:
Must have a solid working knowledge of all appropriate tools for product development from product definition/feasibility through tapeout.
