SW Applications Engineer
Description:

SiBEAM is seeking a top-notch SW Applications Engineer who can provide pre-sales and post sales design-in activity and specialized technical sales support for WirelessHD products. Candidate must have experience understanding, communicating and integrating customer requirements with the technical program management team. Candidate must also have proficiency in Wireless Protocols/Standards, customer interaction, and developing Application Notes and White Papers to help customers use SiBEAM’s chipsets.
Responsibilities:
Participate in design reviews, product testing and problem resolution activities in the product design/development cycle.
Facilitate design wins at targeted customers.
Investigate and analyze customer application problems and provide technical support for all hardware and software related issues, with support from other groups.
Provide follow-up support to disseminate technical information on specific applications.
Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
BSEE/MSEE degree or equivalent, plus 5 years of experience
Strong background in AV and Wireless engineering
Good written and spoken English skills
Demonstrated ability to make technical product presentations
Knowledge of development and debugging tools/software like Real-View ICE, Logic Analyzer, Scopes, GDB, Wind River Tornado IDE
Knowledge of various RTOS like vxWorks, Embedded Linux, uClinux, ThreadX, Nucleus, QNX
Knowledge of cross-development environments and source code control for Embedded Software Development
Knowledge of media access control (MAC) for wireless or wired networks
Experience in customer service and Application Engineering is highly desirable
Wireless AV application software and chipset firmware and driver background a plus
